One of the standard merchants (name of Johan) in Calm Village-based tomes has a Ladder among his/her stock. (I say his/her, because the convo always starts "...with his hands clasped behind her back"! I don't know if this is deliberate, but it's funny). The Ladder is described as "useful for climbing cliffs" and contains a trigger which fits into a trigger called "Ladder" in an Encounter. Does any tome actually use this Ladder? Perhaps those trying to write new tomes could bear it in mind!

Myne does; there's very good odds I'm the one that built the ladder, and it got incorporated elsewhere. By any chance does the ladder look like it's composed of a bunch of chopped up and rotated staves?

No it doesn't, it looks like a rope ladder. I noticed the ladder was for sale in Myne, so I used Creator to search for a trigger called "Ladder" elsewhere in the tome, but nothing. Are you sure Myne uses the ladder?

Yes. It's how you reach one particular set of caves (head east out of town, it's in a wilderness area) where there's a bunch of dragon merchants, although I don't recall if the ladder seeks out the encounter trigger or if the encounter trigger seeks out the ladder and I was just thinking of permitting easier integration into other tomes.

I must have missed that bit. I'll have a go at it some time.

I think the ladder is used in another tome as well. Not sure though. There is a tome that uses something similar, but it is wood.

It's the forest in "Area 5". Just found it while hunting around for Phule's cool triggers. Laughing Haven't done the actual walk through to see where it is on the map though.
